Andrew Blohm currently works for the Earth Systems Science Institute (ESSIC) at the University of Maryland while completing his Ph.D. studies at the School of Public Policy (University of Maryland). He holds a Master of Public Policy (University of Maryland) and a B.Sc. in Economics (University of Florida). Before joining ESSIC, he was a researcher at the Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI) (a part of the Pacific Northwest National Lab system) and the Center for Integrative Environmental Research (CIER) (University of Maryland).
His current research ranges from the estimation and incorporation of risk and uncertainty into long-term electricity planning models, incorporating land-use patterns into model constraints and parameters, and conducting and developing methods for site-level climate change vulnerability assessments.
